Wow...it's been a while...

Well, I haven't done too good a job posting on this blog at all. I could try to blame it on different things but instead I'll just tell you what I've been up to lately and hopefully you won't be too mad that it's been so long =P

Well, it's hard to know where to start...I think I was still in school the last time I posted...needless to say, that's over, I ended up with 3 A's and 1 B for the semester (praise God!) and I'm about to start my fall semester in a few weeks...I'm only taking 2 classes in hopes to be more involved in Mission 28.

Speaking of Mission 28, I'm loving it...youth group is nothing compared to Mission 28. I love how you can just be yourself in M28 instead of trying to be someone you aren't, like you had to when I was in Q222. There aren't any cliques and people don't care what you wear or how your hair is done. It's not about what you look like, it's about coming together to spread the Gospel on campus and I totally love that.

This past March, I went to Rekindle for the first time...it was absolutely amazing!!!! We spent the whole week in Laguna Beach, Florida and enjoyed amazing worship, great teaching, crazy games, swimming in the ocean (I totally got pulled out by the under-tow too...but not too far and I got out fine) swimming with jellyfish (no one got hurt), swimming in the heated pool, walking along the beach, early morning quiet times on the sand, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and just having fun with friends. I can't wait for next year.

My second trip this year was to Baltimore, MD for NEXT (aka New Attitude) That was also pretty amazing, I loved worship...it was so cool to hear Bob, Devon and Megan Kauflin leading worship again. The teaching was so amazing....D.A. Carson, Sinclair Ferguson, C.J. Mahaney, Kevin Young, and Josh Harris taught...it was such a learning experience...I can't wait for NEXT time =D

Last month was probably the greatest experience of my life. I went to Mexico on a missions trip. A team of 36 of us from Crossway went to Rancho 3M children's orphanage for a week. We worked crazy hard but it didn't even seem like it because we were working for the Lord. We had a great week and met some of the most amazing kids ever, my perspective is changed forever. I am just so amazed at how little they have and yet how content they are. It was so hard to come home knowing that I would have to interact with people who just don't have a clue about what they really have. I am already trying to get ready for next year, I hope I'll be able to continue to return to Rancho 3M for many years to come.

Also Emily W. and I have had some fun the past few weeks, we always hang out after church, but we decided we'd go see a few museums and so we've seen the Hezekiah Alexander House and the Charlotte Museum of History, and Rosedale Plantation, hopefully we'll get to see some more places in the weeks to come.

So that's pretty much been my summer, It's been crazy, but I wouldn't change it for the world. It's almost time to gear up for another semester! Adios amigos...your turn Chelsea

Hey I'm Chelsea

Hey everyone, its Chelsea. This is my first time ever blogging, so bear with me. I'll start off by introducing myself.*Ahem* Hello everyone! Well, I'm Chelsea, I'm a teenager, I'm homeschooled, and most importantly, I'm living (or trying to anyways...) for my Savior. He died for me; the least I can do is live for Him. My identity is in Him and Him alone.Onto more random stuff...I'm not your average homeschooler. I mean, yeah, I freak out over my GPA on a daily basis, but other than that...So here are a number of things you didn't know, and didn't care to know about me:
1. I love to read. Like, thats all I do...
2. I love music. All kinds really, but mainly weird rock. Not average rock. Intelligent rock. Yes, I know that that is not an actual genre, but I'll define it for you anyways. Intelligent rock is written by people who are smart. Musicians whose music is so good, that the song lyrics could be read as a poem, and still impact people.
3. I enjoy poetry.
4. I hate math with a distinct passion...all kinds of math, but particularly algebra. *groans*
5. I don't really like modern movies. I prefer older movies that stars Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant...like Charade! A must-see movie!
6. I have the most amazing friends ever. End of story.
7. I love old-fashioned jewelry.
8. I wish I was artistically talented...but the truth is...I'm not.
9. I enjoy photography.
10. I am left-handed.Thats all I can think of for now...I'll try and update this frequently!Grace&Peace,Chelsea

hey I'm Chelsey

Hey yall! I'm Chelsey, I'm 17 and recently graduated from highschool. I go to CPCC and work at Chick-fil-A full time. Most important thing about me, I'm just a girl who is trying to live her life for the Lord. I know what I stand for and nothing will sway my beliefs so don't even try. I am not my own because Christ bought me with his blood. I may be nothing special to you but Jesus thought I was to die for.
Some random things about me:
1. I'm random and I often burst out laughing for no reason other than my randomness
2. I LOVE to read, during the summers I'll easily check out 30-40 books from the library and have them all read in about 2 weeks. I like all kinds of books except sci-fi-fantasy. I enjoy mostly classics, mysteries, and anything written by Lurlene McDaniel, Melody Carlson, Nicholas Sparks, Richard Paul Evans, and Beverly Lewis
3. Music is my thing. I have like 5 days worth of music in my iTunes library right now (so if I ever have to go on a 5 day trip I'm all set! haha) I also like almost all genres of music except screamo type stuff. I like Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Steven Curtis Chapman, Britt Nicole, Addison Road, Casting Crowns, Selah, Relient K, Switchfoot, etc. I like music that makes me feel things.
4. I love to write(if you couldn't already tell). I've been working on a book for 2 summers and have about 200 pages finished. One of my many dreams is to become a published author...of which my manager James is convinced I will be published (he already has my autograph and he's only read one of my school papers!) I also enjoy reading and writing poetry
5. I LOVE old movies...especially if it has Cary Grant in it =D I love musicals too! Singing in the Rain is a must!
6. I am thoroughly convinced I would die without my friends. No if's and's or but's about it.
7. I'm not fancy...I'd rather wear my favorite pair of dance pants than jeans and I'd rather wear jeans than a dress.
8. I can't draw worth a flip...and I mean not at all...as in I need a ruler to draw a stick figure kind of not talented kinda person =)
9. I love my digital camera. When I have it with me, I take pictures of everything! I hate having my picture taken unless I take it or I ask someone to take it.
10. i'm right handed

I can't really think of anything else...so I spose thats all for now, i'll post again later

Vaya con Dios (Spanish for farewell but literally translates as Go with God)
